DECLARATION OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE IN...

GOD. We believe in one true God who exists eternally and is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, and infinite. We believe that He is holy in nature, attributes, and purposes. He as God is Triune in essence, revealed as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Acts 3:4; Exodus 15:11; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 28:19).

JESUS CHRIST. We believe in the absolute deity of Christ, that He was eternally one with the Father who became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary so that was two whole and perfect natures, that is to say the Godhead and humanity were united in His person, being true God and true man; Jesus the God-man. We believe that God became man in the person of Jesus Christ to come into the world, serve, suffer, and die for our sins. We believe that Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, intercedes for us, He will rapture His church, and return bodily at His second coming (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1, 14; Matthew 1:18-23, Acts 17:3; Romans 8:34; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; James 5:7-8, John 19:37; Revelation 1:7).

THE HOLY SPIRIT. We believe in the absolute deity and personality of the Holy Spirit. We believe that He is ever present and efficiently active in the Church of Christ and along with it, convinces the world of sin, regenerating, sanctifying, guiding, comforting, teaching, and reminding the Word to those who repent of their sins and believe and accept Jesus Christ as the only Savior of the world (Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7; Psalms 139:1-4, 7-11; Luke 1:35; Job 33:4; 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 14:12-26; John 1:12).

THE BIBLE. We believe in the plenary inspiration of Scripture. That the Bible with its sixty-six books error-free, form the Old Testament and New Testament, and it's the will of God written for the salvation of men. We believe the Bible is the authoritative Word of God. That is our only infallible rule of faith and practice, men inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:19, 21).

MAN AND HIS FALL. We believe that man was divinely created in the image and likeness of God. This included the ability to choose between good and evil, therefore, was made morally responsible. Which it was created with purpose in a state of innocence and purity but as a result of disobedience acquired a sinful, depraved, corrupt nature, becoming guilty before God. Therefore, cannot by their own natural strength and any work, turn to God. We believe that original sin affected the whole human race to bring physical and spiritual death and eternal damnation for all. But the grace of God through Jesus Christ to all men is granted for them to become free from sin to justice for forgiveness and cleansing of sin. We believe that man, although possessing the experience of regeneration and entire sanctification, may fall from grace and depart, and unless they repent of their sin, will be lost forever without hope (Genesis 1:26, 2:15, 3;6-24; Romans 1:18-32; 2:1-6; Galatians 3:22).

SALVATION. We believe that salvation is a gift from God and can only be obtained when man repents of their sins and accepts by faith the forgiveness offered through voluntary sacrifice, vicarious, and atoning death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that having been justified by the blood of Christ, the Holy Spirit enables man to live a new life away from evil and of dedication to God, righteous and holy (Matthew 18:11; Ephesians 2:5-9; Acts 15:11; Romans 3:21, 9:13-15; 1 John 4:12).

THE ETERNITY. People were created to exist forever. We exist separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. Eternal separation from God is hell. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence (Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:14-15).

DIVINE HEALING. We teach our people to strive to pray with faith for the healing of the sick. We believe that the release of all sickness is provided for us by the sacrifice of Christ. It was practiced by Jesus and ordered by Himself to His disciples (Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 5:16-17; James 5:14-16).

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT. We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit comes after new birth in Christ Jesus and is an endowment of power, a different spiritual experience to salvation. We believe that it manifests revealing Christ and giving gifts for the edification of the church and bold power to execute the Great Commission (Acts 1:8; 2:42-47; 5:12-16; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31).

THE CHURCH. We believe the church is the spiritual body of Christ, is made up of every believer born of the Spirit, its purpose is to worship God, to serve God and our neighbor, sharing as a family, disciple and edify the faithful and evangelize the world. Therefore, every believer is a minister called to love, serve, share, teach, and testify. We believe that the Lord Himself constitutes, sets apart, calls, and trains those that with the gifts of the Spirit will minister in His church. We believe in the need to keep the gospel of Jesus Christ as the purity of the church in her doctrine, life, and conduct (1 Corinthians 12:13, 28; 14:12; Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:22; 4:11-16).

WATER BAPTISM. We believe in the ordinance of water baptism for all who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The biblical baptism by immersion is done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is a public testimony of the new birth of the believer and the symbol of identification with the death and resurrection of Christ (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4).

THE LORD'S SUPPER. We believe in the Lord's Supper consisting of the elements, the bread and wine, fruit of the vine. We believe that is the symbolic expression that denotes our participation in the divine nature with our Lord Jesus Christ, and a prophecy of His second coming, so it is enjoined on all believers "till He comes." It is a reminder of the suffering and death of the Lord and an announcement of His imminent return. We believe that water baptism is a testimony of the new birth and the Lord's Supper witness the growth and development of the Christian life, therefore, only baptized believers can participate (1P 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26).

THE MARRIAGE COVENANT. We believe that marriage is the covenant that a man and a woman make with God to live together in God's purpose. It is the agreement they make with God to live as a married couple and family and according to the principles He described or revealed in His Word (the Bible). Therefore, marriage is a lifelong union between man and woman "until death do us apart" (Genesis 2:24; Ezequiel 16.8; 1 Corinthians 7:2, 10-11, 39).

PRESENTATION OF CHILDREN. We believe that when we proceed to present our children we are following a supported by the Church of all time practice. It is not a water baptism, but a presentation of the child to God, thanksgiving and faith, a prayer of blessing, and divine protection. We believe the presentation of children to the Lord is a commitment we make with God the Father, introducing their children to the eternal purpose of God, prophesying about their future life, and accepting the paternal priesthood according to biblical instructions. Meanwhile God blesses and cares for them (Luke 2:21-22; Matthew 19:13; Mark 10:13-16).

GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES. We submit that apart from the family and church authorities, we must obey the government because they are permitted by God, and we are grateful to those who enshrine in their constitutions religious freedom and promote human rights. Moreover, we believe what the Bible teaches "not to kill" (Exodus 20:13), "not to steal" (Exodus 20:15), "not to deny people their rights" (Lamentations 3:35-36), "not accept bribe against the innocent" (Psalm 15:5), "in mercy and truth with all your heart" (Proverbs 3:3), and "love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). We declare ourselves ready to serve our community and country joyfully and voluntarily.
